About Us

This blog is about the blessings, the trials, and the lessons learned by the Schwabedissen family. Jacob and Katie met in 2005 and married in 2006. He is a soldier in the Idaho Army National Guard and has been to Iraq twice. She teaches Language Arts to 6th graders at the middle level. In 2010 their daughter, Julia, was born and became their angel in heaven. In 2013 their next daughter, Lillian, joined their family through the miracle of adoption. They are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
